Product range. The company focuses on hand-finished and modern women's jewellery: earrings, necklaces, pendants, rings, bracelets, and charms. The latter two are part and parcel of Pandora's unique selling proposition and make it possible for a customer to try her best in designing a customized modular charm bracelet. Bracelet spacers and even clips can also be personalized. Pandora jewellery is made from solid sterling silver and gold, or a combination of the two, using a variety of gemstones, stones and organic gems including topaz, cultured pearls, cubic zirconia, sapphire, rhodolite, and diamonds, to name just a few. The collections also include jewellery made from lesser-known wood species and the pieces with Murano glass and enamel details.
Originality. The patented Pandora bracelet system allows charms threaded onto a bracelet, mixed and matched to reflect a personal style, while Pandora rings can be stacked - all in the name of making a unique jewellery item. Corporate history highlights. The company was founded by Per Enevolsen and his then wife Winnie Enevoldsen in 1982. It started out as a small jewellery shop in Nørrebrogade, Copenhagen. From the very beginning, Pandora's mission was to make luxury hand-crafted jewellery available at affordable prices. The vision materialized in 2000 when Pandora launched its ever-popular bracelet with interchangeable charms dreamed up by the team of designer Lone Frandsen and goldsmith Lisbeth Enø Lochte. The bracelet has taken the world by storm. After the promising start from a Scandinavian platform, over the following years Pandora turned into a mega global brand sold in some 10,000 stores worldwide.
